SUNY Geneseo has again earned several top spots in the North region in U.S. News & World Report’s 2024  "Best Colleges" list.

Geneseo landed the #2 spot for Best Undergraduate Teaching in the "Regional Universities—North"  category, tied with Loyola University Maryland and  Marist College. U.S. News & World Report selects the Best Undergraduate Teaching colleges through data collected from college presidents, provosts, and admissions professionals at peer institutions within their region who identified schools where the faculty demonstrated an unusually strong commitment to undergraduate teaching.

Geneseo was also named in these categories for Regional Universities—North:

  • #4 among Top Public Schools
  • #10 among the Most Innovative Schools
  • #12 overall in the category, up four spots from last year

This year’s rankings and information will be published in the Best Colleges 2024 Guidebook this fall. In addition to the U.S. News & World Report’s lists, Geneseo recently earned first place in Washington Monthly’s annual college rankings of more than 604 master’s universities in the nation for contribution to the public good. Geneseo is also included in The Princeton Review's Best 389 Colleges: 2024 Edition and their "Best Regional Colleges: Northeast" list.
