The PRR is required to fulfill Middle States accreditation requirements. Through the planning and leadership of co-chairs Cathy Adams, associate professor of history, and Ken Kallio, interim associate provost for personnel and diversity, the college is on schedule to complete its PRR by June 1.

Two Geneseo associate professors of physics James McLean and George Marcus applied for and received a $200,680 three-year Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) grant from the National Science Foundation.
Their award led to the creation of a new summer program, known as SURGE, Supporting Undergraduate Research at Geneseo.

Thomas MacPherson, professor in studio art, recently released a remarkable, art-filled book entitled “Crossing Cultures: A Sicilian and American Family in Western New York.”

The first week of classes is also Inauguration Week and students, faculty and administrators from the college as well as members of the community have been presenting public readings this week of a variety of key historical democratic documents.

SUNY Geneseo’s “Day of Leadership and Service” celebrated the work and teachings of Martin Luther King Jr. today with a series of inter-generational and interfaith discussions, workshops, and community outreach projects.
