Geneseo teams took home 9 titles during the college’s first year in the athletic conference. And, the hockey title.
Geneseo started its first year as part of the Empire 8 athletic conference with nine championships in 2024-25. Women’s basketball won the most recent title March 1. In addition, Empire 8 also named the field hockey coaching staff, led by head coach Margaret McConnell, as coaching staff of the year.
Geneseo’s Ice Knights are in the United Collegiate Hockey Conference—and also won the championship. Head Coach Chris Schultz was also named UCHC Coach of the Year for 2025.
