Political Science
The political science major focuses on the study of politics in the United States and other countries other than the United States, the political relations between nations, and the contributions of political philosophers.
Physics
Physics is the study of how the universe works, from the smallest subatomic particles to the largest galaxy clusters. Physics majors at Geneseo develop advanced problem-solving skills and get hands-on experience with state-of-the-art lab equipment that is useful for a wide variety of technical careers.
Philosophy
Philosophy class sizes are small, and majors are encouraged to combine philosophy with other majors. Courses explore responsible citizenship, intellectual humility, and skills desired by today’s employers: analysis, communication, leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving.
Neuroscience
The neuroscience major is an interdisciplinary program designed to prepare students for advanced studies in brain and cognitive sciences in a graduate school, medical school, or related health program, or for a career in the biomedical industry.
Musical Theatre
The musical theatre program is a great fit for musical theatre-lovers who also enjoy learning about history, language, science, business, education, math, politics, and more. The BA program’s flexibility allows students to add more musical theatre electives, explore higher-level liberal arts classes, or prepare for a career that integrates both artistic and academic strengths.

Mathematics
The mathematics major combines a strong traditional math foundation with opportunities for student research, a successful adolescence education program, and preparation in applied mathematics and statistics. It challenges students to apply classroom learning and research to real-world problems.
International Relations
In the multidisciplinary international relations program, students may take the courses of greatest interest to them, dipping into the fields of political science, international relations, history, geography, sustainability, communication, sociology, economics, business, and more.
