The Alan Lutkus International Film Series
Sponsored by the Provost and the IFS Committee, with the collaboration of SUNY Geneseo faculty and friends.
We established the International Film Series (IFS), named after the founder of the Film Studies Minor, Professor Alan Lutkus of the Department of English, in January 2003, as a venue to show current, classic, and independent works of global cinema. IFS's goal is to offer films that emphasize diversity and multiculturalism, as well as a forum for open discussion after each presentation, to the SUNY Geneseo community. Each semester, we screen a minimum of three films representing a different cultural perspective at 7 p.m. on Thursday evenings in Newton Hall. All screenings are FREE and open to the public.
For this semester's program and a description of scheduled films, please visit our Billboard. If you are a member of SUNY Geneseo's faculty and would like to present a film, please read our Guidelines page.
We look forward to seeing you in Newton this semester. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to let us know.
