Willard Heller receives Anthony J. Papalia Award

Adjunct Lecturer of Spanish and Student Teacher Supervisor Willard Heller will receive the Anthony J. Papalia Award from the New York Association of Foreign Language Teachers (NYSAFLT). In an upcoming ceremony to be held in Saratoga Springs in November, 2019, Mr. Heller will be recognized for an article he co-authored with Dr. Eddy from Queens College.

Mr. Heller presently serves as part of the leadership team at the State Education Department in Albany to update the K-12 New York State World Language Standards, and his scholarly work provides valuable insight into the teaching of world languages, serving to guide all those involved in this field in future directions, particularly toward performance-based assessments.
