The sociology major emphasizes scientific and humanistic approaches to exploring economic and political institutions, culture, media, family, urban life, families, crime, and other aspects of social life.
Anthropology is the holistic study of humankind across space and time. The discipline is divided into four fields: cultural anthropology, linguistics, archaeology, and physical/biological anthropology, all of which are represented in the department offerings.
Over 100 students are expected to travel abroad on SUNY Geneseo Study Abroad programs in summer 2022.
