SUNY Geneseo has been celebrating Earth Month with several student-organized events that are open to all.

On Earth Day, April 22, sustainability interns will demonstrate how the composting program works on campus in the College Union from 5 to 7 p.m. Students will share how scraps are turned into nutrient-rich soil for the eGarden and other locations on campus. There will be opportunities for hands-on learning.

On April 27, students will host a Tree Planting Day in the Roemer Arboretum. Volunteers are invited to join students in planting trees or clearing patches of invasive species to make new planting easier.

Events are presented by the Office of Sustainability. Follow the student events and Geneseo sustainability efforts on Instragram @geneseosustainability.
