A new partnership with the University of Rochester’s Simon Business School will facilitate early admission for SUNY Geneseo students interested in graduate programs in artificial intelligence in business, business analytics, finance, or marketing analytics. Qualified undergraduates can complete a bachelor’s degree at Geneseo and a master’s degree at University of Rochester in an accelerated format, saving both time and tuition.

“Our partnership with the Simon Business School expands meaningful pathways for Geneseo students and strengthens our commitment to their academic and professional success,” says Mary C. Toale, provost and vice president for academic affairs. “This accelerated option opens new doors for students to advance in fields shaping the future, supported by two outstanding institutions.”

Under the partnership agreement, Geneseo students can apply to the Simon Business School in the spring of their junior year or tentatively as matriculating first-year students. Students admitted to these programs may take up to three Simon graduate courses during their senior year to fulfill their undergraduate degree requirements (up to 6 credits) and to apply toward the MS degree, without paying additional Simon tuition. Admitted students will also benefit from a 30 percent discount on their graduate tuition in addition to other available scholarships, grants, and loan programs.

The 4+1 program welcomes students from any major; applicants must have successfully completed one calculus and one statistics course at Geneseo and have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher. No standard tests, including GMAT/GRE, are required.

Simon MS programs combine rigorous academics with real-world experience, career support, and a collaborative community. Prospective students interested in exploring these business options should contact Kevin Reed, assistant director of admissions, at 585-245-5435 or reedk@geneseo.edu.
