The college plans the day as an inter-generational and interfaith event with SUNY Geneseo students and area senior citizen volunteers learning and working together on important community outreach efforts.

Geneseo Director of Student Care Services and Title IX Coordinator for Students Tamara Kenney and student volunteers are supporting “SUNY’s Got Your Back," the SUNY system-wide effort to provide victims of sexual and interpersonal violence with care packages of essential items and clothing.
The project, led by SUNY’s Title IX Coordinators Association, provides victims and survivors “comfort bags” of necessary items, such as a toothbrush, soap and shampoo upon their arrival at local shelters and hospitals.
GENESEO, N.Y. -- Three SUNY Geneseo musical theater students and a recent alumnus from the program are in the cast of the current production of “A Christmas Carol” at Rochester’s Geva Theatre Center through Dec. 24. The musical director of the production is Don Kot, director of Geneseo’s Musical Theatre Program.
This weekend will mark the last home appearances of SUNY Geneseo’s athletic teams in 2016, highlighted by the Teddy Bear Toss at the men’s hockey game on Friday, Dec. 2.
The sixth-annual event is sponsored by SUNY Geneseo Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and the men’s hockey team. All in attendance are encouraged to throw a new or gently-used stuffed animal onto the ice following the Knights’ first goal of the contest. Game time is 7 p.m. at the Ira S.
