“Philosophy taught me self-awareness and precision of language. I practiced skills of argumentation, intertextual analysis, and a range of writing, from exploratory to formal. The major re-framed my quest for wisdom into lifelong curiosity. It has helped me be more honest, daring, and purposeful in creative work. It has made me a more inquisitive and compassionate professor, citizen, parent, and friend. The professors were extraordinary, especially Ted Everett, Bill Edgar, and Stacey Edgar.”
