Events and Volunteering

Blood Drives:

Visit the Blood Drive page for information on upcoming on-campus and off-campus blood drives.

Upcoming Club Fundraiser:

Halloween Make Your Own Candy Bag Fundraiser!

Proceeds go towards Red Cross Disaster Relief.

October 26th and 27th 11-3 in the Union Lobby.

CPR/First Aid + AED:

At our upcoming meeting, (November 2nd), we are having Red Cross CPR professionals from Rochester come to demonstrate lifesaving CPR/First Aid techniques. This is a non-cert session, however all who go will still learn skills needed in emergency situations.

National Disaster Training:

National Disaster Training is two classes that are three hours long that give training on how to provide food services, work in shelters, distribute supplies, and perform other recovery activities in the wake of disasters. We have not had one of these classes recently, but if there is a high enough interest level we should be able to arrange one!

Pillowcase Project

Sponsored by Disney. The Red Cross is looking for volunteers to join in the Pillowcase Project, visiting local elementary schools to teach students about being prepared for emergencies.

Local Volunteer Opportunities:

For more volunteer opportunities in Geneseo and other surrounding communities, please register with Volunteer Connections, your direct link to the Red Cross. Volunteer Connection allows you to record the hours you spend volunteering with club functions, or with the Red Cross outside of the club. Not mandatory for club participation, but highly recommended!
