Volunteer Fair
Virtual Volunteer Fair – ZOOM LINKS
Wed., Sept. 9
2:00 – 3:30 pm
The Office of Student Volunteerism and Community Engagement is hosting a Virtual Volunteer Fair on Wednesday, September 9 from 2:00 – 3:30 pm. This annual event (usually in person) is your opportunity to connect with local and regional nonprofits and organizations, as well as student clubs and programs, that rely on volunteers to carry out their mission.
The first half hour (2:00 – 2:30) will consist of a general zoom session led by myself and student interns in the office of student volunteerism and community engagement during which we will share basic information about our office, ways to connect, and some upcoming volunteer opportunities. We encourage you to attend this portion to understand how to get connected with volunteer opportunities this fall and throughout your time at Geneseo.
From 2:30-3:30 we will begin the unique “breakout rooms” that representatives from the volunteer host organizations will facilitate. Students will be able to choose which organizations they engage with and will be able to come and go as your schedule allows. This is your opportunity to learn about each organization, share your skills and talents, and ask any questions you have.
Please email Garth Freeman, director of Student Volunteerism and Community Engagement at freemang@geneseo.edu with any questions.
