Geneseo Alum to Deliver Master’s Ceremony Keynote

Christopher Byrd ‘09 MS will deliver the keynote address at SUNY Geneseo’s Graduate Hooding Ceremony on Friday, May 8, at 6 p.m. in Wadsworth Auditorium. His address is titled “The Cheat Code Is Curiosity: Why ‘Why’ Is Your Most Valuable Asset.”

Byrd is a strategic finance leader who currently serves as an accounting leader at Genesee & Wyoming Railroad. He specializes in process streamlining and data transformation, focusing on using AI and automation to enhance the efficiency of corporate accounting processes. Byrd also serves on the Finance Committee for Rochester Christian School. Byrd received his master’s degree from SUNY Geneseo in accounting.

The Master’s Hooding Ceremony celebrates students who have completed their graduate degrees in education, business, and history. Doors are open for guests at 5 p.m. There are no tickets for this event; seating is available for graduates and their guests.
