Podiatry 4+4 Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine

Want to gain early acceptance to a Doctor of Podiatry program?

A partnership program with Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) School of Podiatric Medicine facilitates early admission. A student may apply to LECOM as a high school senior or up until completion of junior year at SUNY Geneseo. Based on a successful interview with LECOM staff, students will be offered provisional admission to the LECOM Doctor of Podiatry program.

Apply as a High School Student or Current SUNY Geneseo Student

  • Apply to SUNY Geneseo
  • Apply to LECOM’s Early Acceptance Program (EAP) for 4+4 Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM): it is recommended to do this step early because there are only 2 reserved seats per LECOM entry year available to Geneseo students

Current High School Applicants: Unweighted GPA of 3.0 or higher

Current SUNY Geneseo Students: Geneseo GPA: 3.20 overall, Science GPA: 3.00

  • After Acceptance into both LECOM EAP and SUNY Geneseo
  1. Complete Prerequisites at SUNY Geneseo: Majors that are most aligned with LECOM prerequisites — Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Neuroscience (if the major is offered as a BS, students must pursue the BS)

Maintain GPA*: 3.20 overall, Science GPA: 3.00

  1. Comply with the requirements outlined in the Student Policy Manual for LECOM EAP

Requirements are subject to change. Confirm current GPA and application requirements with the program’s faculty coordinator and partner institution admissions contact before advising a student.
