Phi Delta Epsilon – NY Xi Chapter (Pre Medical Fraternity)

The NY Xi Chapter of Phi Delta Epsilon at SUNY Geneseo is part of an international medical fraternity dedicated to developing future physicians of integrity. We foster a supportive and driven community for pre-medical students who are passionate about medicine, service, and leadership.

Mission

Phi Delta Epsilon Medical Fraternity creates physicians of integrity with a lifelong commitment to our guiding principles.

We develop physicians who positively impact the world, inspire others to greatness, and lead by example.

Membership Requirements

Prospective members must meet the following criteria:

  • Be in good academic standing at SUNY Geneseo
  • Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.2
  • Hold full-time student status
  • Demonstrate interest in pursuing a DO or MD degree

Recruitment

Our recruitment (rush) process is designed to help both the chapter and prospective members build meaningful connections:

  1. Attend 2–3 recruitment (rush) events
  2. Complete a brief written application
  3. Participate in a professional interview (by invitation)
  4. Receive bids for membership

Following bid acceptance, new members participate in a brief new member education process to prepare them for active membership
