Presidential Scholarship (First-Year Students)
- First-year, out-of-state students are awarded the Presidential Scholarship based on core GPA (calculated using grades in math, science, English, social studies, and foreign language) at the time of acceptance.
- Award amounts up to $10,000 per year
- Must attend full-time (minimum of 12 credits/semester)
- Must live on-campus as funds will be applied to on-campus room charges
- Renewable for a total of 4-years of undergraduate studies as long as the student remains on-campus and continues to incur housing charges and attends full-time

Geneseo Transfer Scholarship (Transfer Students)
- Awarded based on the applicant's cumulative college transfer GPA (calculated by the admissions staff using all college credit-bearing coursework completed at the point of review). In order for transfer applicants to be considered for the Geneseo Transfer Scholarship, official college transcripts must be received for all credit-bearing coursework the student has taken prior to their intended entry term at Geneseo.
- Award amounts up to $10,000 per year
- Students must attend full-time (minimum of 12 credits/semester)
- Renewable up to 3 years (depending on the number of credits transferred into Geneseo) of undergraduate studies as long as the student remains full-time
- No GPA requirement for renewal
International Baccalaureate (IB) Scholarship
- Award Amount: One-time $1,000 scholarship
- Eligibility: Students enrolled in the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) or IB Career-related Programme (IBCP)
- Award Timing: Granted upon admission

SUNY Geneseo is located in the Village of Geneseo, NY, roughly 30 minutes south of Rochester and a short drive from Letchworth State Park, known as the "Grand Canyon of the East." It's easy to reach Geneseo by car using Route 20A or NYS Routes 63 and 39. With quick access to the New York State Thruway (I-90) at exits 46 and 48, Geneseo is more connected than you’d expect.
