Understanding Your Financial Aid Awards 2018-2019
Check your financial aid status via KnightWeb
Look for outstanding financial aid requirements:
Look for the "My Eligibility" box under the Financial Aid section. Select "Student Requirements" to check for missing documentation. Most items will include a link, if you need to complete a form or go to another website.
If borrowing loans, did you accept them?
To view/accept your federal student loans, go to "My Award Information" and select "Award By Aid Year." Once you select "2018-19" and submit, another row of options appears below the main tabs. Select "Accept Award Offers" to review and accept any aid that is in "Offered" status (Loans and/or Work-Study).
Don't worry about any estimated grants right now... we know you want those! Estimates change to Actual awards as we confirm eligibility and receive information from outside agencies.
Have you completed your loan requirements?
Student loans will show as a credit on your semester bill, but will not actually pay to your account until loan documents are completed:
For Direct Subsidized/Unsubsidized Loans, the student borrower must complete Entrance Counseling and the Loan Agreement/Master Promissory Note.
Do you need additional funds for the bill?
Parent PLUS Loan Application: Apply as Parent Borrower. If credit-approved, please complete a Loan Agreement/Master Promissory Note on the same site. Applications for 2018-19 will be available as of May 1, 2018.
Alternative/Private Student Loans: Borrowers may review and apply through any lender/bank of their choosing. We've supplied a historical list of lenders/banks that our students have used.
