Coordinating Efforts

The EIT Committee has been working to take proactive steps with institutional partners to ensure digital accessibility across university systems. Key initiatives in progress or already completed as of April 2026 include:

  1. Assessing web content using campus-wide tools such as Siteimprove automated website scanning system, Ally accessibility tool in Brightspace, MathPix licenses for STEM content, etc.
  2. Identifying online course content in need of remediation to meet accessibility standards.
  3. Assessing and updating campus-wide digital accessibility training. Providing training to staff, faculty, and students on web, document, and course accessibility.
  4. Partnering with college leadership to drive efforts across the campus community.
  5. Conducting manual testing, risk assessments, and assessing VPATs to ensure procurement of accessible software.
  6. Prioritizing and remediating high-impact documents and forms.
