Sisters Making A Change

In 2004, Sisters Making a Change, also known as SMAC, was started by our founding mothers Jamie Romeiser, Joanne Henson, and Stephanie Remmick. Along with the brothers of Men of Action and Change (MAC), the organizations formed the Action and Change Coalition, working to maintain a more inclusive greek community. In fall of 2012, the benefits of joining SUNY Geneseo’s Greek system became apparent to us and, as of spring 2013, we are official members of the inter-greek council.

The purpose of Sisters Making A Change at SUNY Geneseo is to encourage the intellectual, physical, social, and philanthropic development of its members, and be a sisterhood that promotes high ideals and standards for its members throughout their lives by emphasizing balance among our five core principles of service, unity, scholarship, loyalty, and wellness.
