VIDEO: Neuroscience Students Gain Hands-On Experience

SUNY Geneseo neuroscience students gain unique insight volunteering with aging members of the Geneseo community. The Home Away from Home Respite Center, established in 2016, provides relief for the families and caregivers of local senior citizens with memory-related impairments. Neuroscience students train alongside other student volunteers to create a welcoming space for the program's participants. The students observe the effects of memory-related illnesses that they study in the classroom, while also forming heartfelt connections. Watch the video below to learn more.
