SUNY Geneseo is included in Princeton Review's 2023 The Best 388 Colleges and noted as a “Best Regional Colleges: Northeast.” The 2023 lists are unranked and compiled, in part, from feedback by current students.

The Princeton Review notes that students say Geneseo academics are challenging but rewarding and that faculty members are attentive, prepare students for the real world, and are accessible. Geneseo is also a place you can find your niche and friend group, and people are kind. Beautiful sunsets and setting were also noted by students.

Geneseo was also recently named a “Best Value College,” based on a combination of institutional and student survey data, including academic rigor, affordability, and career outcomes for graduates, Last fall, Geneseo was named a “Green College,” for the institution’s commitment to the environment and sustainability, including dining options, policies, and more.
