Why study economics at Geneseo?

Geneseo’s economics program emphasizes quantitative skills with courses such as statistics, quantitative methods, data analytics, and econometrics. Combined with calculus and an introduction to statistical software, the major positions students to be highly competitive in the labor market and provides an excellent foundation for graduate study in economics and other related fields.

Many economics graduates go into finance, banking, consulting, or the public sector. The transferable skills students learn—problem-solving, critical thinking, data analysis—apply to a wide variety of career paths, making an economics degree extremely dynamic, versatile, and desirable.
