Music Major

Why study music at Geneseo?

The music program at Geneseo offers personal growth and artistic achievement in a rich liberal arts setting. Music majors can choose from four different specialized tracks, as well as explore additional areas of pre-professional study. Performance majors are offered in all instruments of the orchestra, along with classical guitar, classical voice, and musical theatre.

Students interested in music education can obtain a pre-professional studies minor that prepares them for a master’s with professional certification at the Eastman School of Music, or for any graduate music education institution.
