Dr Wilder joined the School of Business in February 2025.  She uses her experience as an economist, face to face and online instructor and academic administrator to promote a forward thinking and student focused academic experience for students and faculty.  Her passion for equity and opportunity has driven both her research and her pursuit of accessible education built on the application of the liberal arts and personal growth.

Through years of experience, it is her mission to help students and faculty have the most effective environment in which to learn, teach and discover new knowledge by making sure that the programs they are engaged in are relevant and the highest quality.

Dr. Wilder’s research in economics explores the connections between demographics and income inequality with a focus on preferences for redistribution and the impact of structural changes.  She is passionate as well about the evolution of pedagogy and access to higher education.  She has embraced high impact, hands-on learning through study abroad, project based learning and mentoring undergraduate research.
