Marketing Major
The Marketing major provides students with the skills and knowledge needed to pursue a range of careers in advertising, public relations, social media marketing, digital marketing, market research, sales management and brand management, with a particular emphasis on learning the emerging and modern trends and practices that have emerged in response to changes in consumer behavior, marketing automation, digital technology and globalization.
The core curriculum at Geneseo provides a thorough knowledge of accounting, economics, entrepreneurship, ethics, finance, global issues, leadership, and technology. Students also develop skills in communication, critical thinking, and teamwork.
Students are encouraged to get involved in directed studies, internships, study abroad, field experiences, and academic conferences. Faculty support academic and professional advisement, individual student-faculty research, and study abroad opportunities.
