Past Interns
Gabby Bigger, Class of 2024

I had an amazing experience working as a marketing intern at Palmer Food Services. The marketing team at Palmers was very supportive and welcoming! I was able to work on various projects while on the team including a digital marketing landscape, on-site and in-house videography and photography for content creation purposes, food-related research, and website quality assurance. This internship exposed me to both the B2B and B2C sides of marketing and gave me the hands-on experience I wanted from a marketing internship.
At CAS I worked in the HR department doing a variety of HR, administrative, and internal marketing tasks. In my internship, I learned about HR compliance and onboarding processes. I also handled the internal marketing tasks, including creating flyers for various employee appreciation and educational programs using Canva, helping brainstorm and conduct student-employee appreciation programs, and redesigning PPTs and documents. CAS has an amazing company culture, everyone I met was welcoming and knowledgeable and it made me excited to come to work!
Jason Bivona, Class of 2023

I have learned so much during my internships with Palmer Foods and CAS. Palmers gave me my first hands-on business experience, which has given me great confidence in my abilities. I worked with their marketing team on a number of projects, including their social media accounts. I was able to learn about many aspects of the food service industry. At CAS, I have worked with each department, including accounting, marketing, HR, and project planning. At CAS, I worked with their marketing team to create content for their social media pages and worked on projects that will have a great impact on Geneseo’s campus.
Griffin Walpert, Class of 2021

The internship experience was a great way to learn about a variety of fields while growing myself as a professional. Palmer foods was incredible at providing access at every turn and making me feel welcome wherever I went. It’s an experience I would recommend to anyone. Griffin Walpert graduated with majors in political science and business administration.
Jack Grant, Class of 2019

What I learned during my time with US Foods has been invaluable as I’ve transitioned to the next chapter in my life. During the internship I was given the opportunity to improve my leadership abilities, as well as developing creative problem solving skills while learning more about the food industry. Additionally, the unique experiences that I was given are some that I will never forget.
Morgan Maley, Class of 2018

My internship with Campus Auxiliary Services (CAS) provided me with valuable hands-on experience through multiple areas of the foodservice supply chain. I grew both personally and professionally in my time at CAS and developed a much greater understanding of the inner workings of planning, purchasing, and the development of menus. Additionally, I was able to obtain a greater understanding of foodservice distribution, working directly on their warehouse system, daily deliveries, sales, and marketing teams. The real-life skills that I earned under the guidance of CAS have opened doors for me and allowed me to excel at multiple companies since graduating from Geneseo. Currently, I am employed by Rich Products Corporation as a Customer & Product Insights Specialist.
