Chemistry Degree Requirements

Beginning Fall '24, the Chemistry Department will implement changes to its degree programs requirements. These changes are intended to

  • Offer more flexibility and pathways to degree
  • Provide more student choice in advanced electives
  • Maintain rigor and professional requirements that prepare students for career success (eg, ACS, MCAT, NYS Adol Ed Teaching Cert)

All changes are consistent with recommendations and requirements of the American Chemical Society and are unanimously endorsed by Chemistry Department members.
