Ashley N. Watson

Ashley N. Watson joined the Department of Communication Fall 2023. She teaches courses mainly in the streams of critical cultural communication, intrapersonal communication, and organizational communication.

Her current research interests include socialized identities (racial, student, faculty, professional, and mother); international education; discourses of difference; and social medicine. With over a decade of experience in international and intercultural education, Dr. Watson often uses comparative lenses in her work.

Dr. Watson is the faculty advisor for Diversity and Inclusion Community Educators (DICE) and oversees the Intergroup Dialogue and Social Change Microcredential.
