VIDEO: Geology Summer Research

This summer, Emily Szczublewski ’27, a geological sciences major at SUNY Geneseo, is working with Jacalyn Wittmer Malinowski, assistant professor of geological, environmental, and planetary sciences, to collect sediment samples from two of the Finger Lakes. Geneseo Student Ambassador Program

Every year, through SUNY Geneseo’s Center for Integrative Learning, students can apply for Geneseo Student Ambassador Awards. These awards fund and support student-designed projects that research or address social, economic, or environmental problems. Student-driven ambassador projects combine independent learning, innovative approaches to problem-solving, and community-based action. Projects can take place on campus, in the region, or even internationally.
