Lieutenant Governor Antonio Delgado visited SUNY Geneseo on January 30 to engage with students who participate in community service and civic engagement. He met with students involved in various service organizations and initiatives, from peer mentoring to food security, Geneseo First Response, Geneseo Votes!, and the RKids after-school tutoring and enrichment program.

The students spoke about the impact of their experiences with service and civic engagement programs at Geneseo and the way these activities develop their knowledge and skills to build a better world.

SUNY Geneseo is ranked number one in Washington Monthly's annual college rankings of more than 604 master's universities in the nation for their contribution to the public good. The College is also a designated a “Voter Friendly Campus” for 2023–24 through a program sponsored by NASPA—Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education and Fair Election Center’s Campus Vote Project. Geneseo is among 258 campuses in 38 states to receive the recognition.

Delgado is working to make volunteer and service opportunities more accessible to New Yorkers statewide.
