Why study German at Geneseo?
German is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world, as a primary language in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, a second language throughout the European Union, and often in Asian and African countries. It is a language of business, culture, literature, and science.
A minor in German will broaden cultural and professional horizons, improve communication skills, expand language proficiency, and enhance interactions with native and heritage speakers.
