Please contact admissions should you have any questions or wish to schedule a guided tour.
Doty Hall (41 College Dr.)
Doty is home to the admissions office, college administration, and the history department. You’ll also find Doty Recital Hall, an intimate theatre for small production performances and special lectures. Fun fact: this building used to be the site of Geneseo High School.
Milne Library (37 University Dr.)
Our recently renovated Milne Library is designed for 21st-century learning, packed with collaboration and innovation spaces and lots of natural light, and is our first fully electrified building. Outside of MacVittie College Union, the Library is one of our students’ favorite gathering spots. And Books & Bites Café is there for all their snacking and caffeine needs!
Brodie Hall (20 College Dr.)
Home to the Department for Performing Arts, inside this building you’ll find performance spaces, galleries, and rehearsal rooms. Listen closely—you might just hear some of our incredible musicians practicing! Brodie is always alive with creativity, and as of Spring 2025, it’s also home to something delicious: The Halal Shack. Blending Middle Eastern and Mediterranean flavors, this new dining spot is all about bringing people together over bold, flavorful food.
Wadsworth Auditorium and College Green (37 Sturges Path)
Our main performance venue, Wadsworth once hosted Eleanor Roosevelt! The College Green is an outdoor hub where our students hang out and enjoy some sunshine while getting work done. Campus-wide Wi-Fi helps!
Bailey Hall (25 Brodie Dr.)
This is where you’ll find Geneseo’s social science departments: anthropology, geography, psychology, and sociology. The building features an atrium with lots of study spaces and labs downstairs for student research.
Integrated Science Center (13 University Dr.)
All the sciences, including biology, chemistry, geology, physics, prehealth, and more! Our labs feature state-of-the-art equipment including a particle accelerator.
Sturges Quad (23, 33, 36, 41 Sturges Path)
International relations and political science are in Fraser Hall (41). Blake Hall (23) includes communication and WGSU radio, as well as the Multicultural Center. Sturges Hall (36) is being renovated, and when it reopens it will house many of our academic departments, as well as collaboration spaces, the community health and counseling office, tutoring center, testing center, and a historically restored auditorium. See if you can spot the two iconic trees on campus: the painted tree and the “Seuss Spruce.”
Gazebo
A popular hangout spot for students and the best spot on campus to catch beautiful sunsets overlooking the valley!
MacVittie College Union (10 MacVittie Cir.)
The heart of campus life, the Union is home to Starbucks, the ballroom, and student/residence life offices. Here, students can study in the Fireside Lounge, play a game of pool in the Corner Pocket, and catch up with friends.
Dining Halls
SUNY Geneseo has three main “pay-one-price” dining halls: Mary Jemison Dining Complex (101 Letchworth Dr.), Red Jacket in South Village (20 Niagara Dr.), and Letchworth in North Village (37 Letchworth Dr.). These locations offer a variety of food stations and culinary experiences.
South Hall (50 College Dr.)
South Hall is home to the School of Business, the School of Education, and the math department. On the first floor, you’ll find our Trading Room, with live ticker tape on the wall and Bloomberg stock terminals. It was built in 1995 behind Fraser and Welles Halls and is connected to both.
Welles Hall (40 College Dr.)
Built in 1932, Welles Hall is our oldest academic building and now houses the departments of English, foreign languages, philosophy, and women and gender studies. Originally known as the Holcomb School of Practice, it still features its original blackboards, mounted low on the walls for grade-school children.
Schrader Hall (110 Letchworth Dr.)
Houses the Carl Schrader Gymnasium
Myrtle A. Merritt Athletic Center (136 Letchworth Dr.)
Contains the Ira S. Wilson Ice Arena, Louise Kuhl Gymnasium, Alumni Pool, Workout Center, and athletic department offices.
College Stadium (111 Letchworth Dr.)
Features turf fields, a press box, and team rooms.
