Suffolk Hall is Geneseo's only all-first-year suite-style building. Located in South Village near Roemer Arboretum and the newly renovated Red Jacket dining hall, it's also the only residence hall with a gym—making it a popular choice for student athletes.
The suites in Suffolk Hall are built for four, five, or six people. They're laid out along corridors, which makes it easy to meet and interact with students from other suites. A typical suite consists of a bathroom, a living room area, and two or three bedrooms. Each floor of the building is accessible by elevator.
Users with a Geneseo email may log in to access the floor plans.
There is a full kitchen on the ground floor, and lounge spaces throughout the building.
The first floor contains a gym with weight training and cardio equipment that is free to use and open to all residents.
Gardening plots are available next to the building.
- Suffolk Hall is a First-Year Experience Living-Learning Community (LLC).
Students living in Suffolk Hall will:
- Develop healthy relationships with their suitemates
- Learn how each aspect of well-being (physical, mental, and emotional) impacts them personally
- Display resilience when faced with adversity during the transition from high school to college
