Gifts from alumni, parents and friends of the College provide a vital source of support for Geneseo. For public colleges like ours, financial pressures have been compounded by falling governmental financial support. The onset of the 2008 recession brought an end to earlier growth in state and local tax support. Geneseo is justifiably proud of our reputation. The lack of sufficient private support to enroll the most strongly qualified students will quickly erode that reputation. Your gift allows you to play a significant role in keeping your College’s rich history and enviable position among the nation’s foremost public liberal arts college alive and well.
The Geneseo Foundation, Inc. is the designated 501 (c) 3 organization for charitable gifts supporting the SUNY Geneseo. All contributions must be reported through the Foundation. Gifts should be sent directly to the Foundation rather than the academic or other units on campus. Check with your tax advisor since gifts to the Geneseo Foundation may qualify for a tax deduction.
