Transfer to Geneseo With Direct Admission
If you’re a current member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, you’re automatically considered for our PTK Scholarship, no Common App or SUNY application needed.
As of Summer 2026, SUNY Geneseo has been named to the PTK 2026 Transfer Honor Roll—one of only six SUNY campuses—and for the sixth consecutive year, Geneseo is recognized for its excellence in supporting transfer students.

Scholarship Information
All awards are automatically evaluated at time of admission—no separate application required. Full-time enrollment (12+ credits/semester) required.
The Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Scholarship provides $1,500 per year for non-tuition expenses to incoming transfer students who are members of the PTK Honor Society, renewable for up to three years.
In-state transfer students with standard eligibility can receive up to $2,000 per year based on their cumulative transfer GPA, while out-of-state transfer students can receive up to $8,000 per year based on the same criteria. Both awards are renewable for up to three years, depending on the number of credits transferred.
Qualified STEM transfer students from Corning Community College can receive an award of $2,000 per year for three years, totaling $6,000.
