Creators in Concert Event: Rajendra Ramoon Maharaj at America’s National Opera Center

On Thursday, December 14, 2023 from 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. ET, enjoy a showcase of works directed by multi-hyphenate artist Rajendra Ramoon Maharaj, including excerpts of The Factotum, co-created with Will Liverman and DJ King Rico at Lyric Opera of Chicago. 

Mr. Maharaj is an Assistant Professor of Stage Direction at SUNY Geneseo.

Maharaj will join Marc A. Scorca, president/CEO of OPERA America, to discuss his approach to opera through the lens of a stage director and dramaturg.  

The event will be in person at OPERA America’s National Opera Center, 330 Seventh Avenue, 7th Floor, New York, NY, and livestreamed.

Registration for the in-person event taking place at OPERA America's National Opera Center is $10 for members and $25 for non-members. Access to the live broadcast is free, but advance registration is required. Register online to attend.

Attendees are invited to a casual reception with the guest following the event.
