Dining Services

  • Fusion Market will be open Monday to Friday, from 11am – 3pm
  • Starbucks will be open Monday to Friday, from 8am – 2pm

Department of Student Health and Counseling

Hours: Health and Counseling summer hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m - 4:00 p.m. Consultation with an off-site registered nurse is available after-hours by calling (585) 245-5736.

Emergencies: When Health and Counseling is closed, emergency calls should be directed to the University Police by dialing 911 or (585) 245-5222.

Overview: Located on University Drive, The Department of Student Health and Counseling promotes students' optimal health, well-being, and development through the provision of high quality, integrated, and holistic health services. Staffed by caring professionals, Health and Counseling offers primary health care, psychological counseling, and health education to SUNY Geneseo students, as well as consultation, prevention, and training programs to the Geneseo community. Health and Counseling records are not part of students' academic records, and all information is held strictly confidential.

Health Services: Health Services provides primary medical care to SUNY Geneseo students. Services include physical exams, diagnostic services, and some laboratory services, and are provided by a staff composed of a physician, nurse practitioners, and registered nurses. To make an appointment, call (585) 245-5736 or stop by Health Services.

Counseling Services: Counseling Services offers short-term psychotherapy, assessment, crisis intervention and other services to SUNY Geneseo students. Students seek counseling for assistance with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, stress, relationship problems, adjustment issues, eating disorders and more. Counseling Services is staffed by doctoral-level psychologists; a consulting psychiatrist is also available on a limited basis. Health Fee Policy: A mandatory health fee is included in the comprehensive fee that you will pay when registering for Summer Sessions. If you require medications, laboratory procedures, etc., you may pay an additional fee at the time of service.

Health Insurance: Health Insurance is recommended for all students. The College does not cover charges associated with private physicians, x-rays, hospitals, and outside laboratories.

The Workout Center

The Geneseo Workout Center (WOC) is located on the lower level of the Merritt Athletic Center, next to the Ira S. Wilson Ice Rink. The Workout Center is open to current students, faculty and staff (including retired faculty and staff), their spouses, adult children (ages 18-22) and guests. All users of the WOC must have a paid membership or guest pass.

  • Full Summer.......................................................$55 expires the Friday before Fall Classes begin
  • Summer Session I ................................$35 (each session) expires last day of session
  • Summer Session II................................$25 WOC will be closed 6/25-7/9/18
  • After second session, a Fall Membership must be purchased

Workout Center memberships may be paid in person in cash, by check made out to "SUNY GENESEO," or by Mastercard or Visa credit/debit card through Online Registration.

Career Design Center

The Career Services Office, located in Blake A, Room 104 offers personal consultation to students, alumni, and alumnae interested in choosing and finding professional employment, determining appropriate career direction, changing careers, or selecting a graduate school.  The Career Services Office also offers a variety of career assessments evaluating interests, skills, values and personality traits to help students determine how these characteristics relate to the world of work

Office of Accessibility Services

The Office of Accessibility Services, Erwin 106, provides advocacy, reasonable accommodations, and support services to students with disabilities who present current and proper documentation. Student Code of Conduct

Students registered for summer courses at SUNY Geneseo are expected to conduct themselves in a responsible and mature manner. Students are responsible for their behavior in the classroom and in the College Community (i.e., residence halls, campus and the Village of Geneseo) as outlined in the Student Code of Conduct. Concerns about conduct may be addressed with the Dean of Students Office (354 College Union) or the Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards (348 College Union).
