The Department of Career Development is committed to offering a comprehensive array of programs and services that support career development. We continue to develop our virtual platforms to serve better our students, alum, and employers in an advancing technological environment. Please contact our office if you have questions about how to access Handshake or to find opportunities in your field of interest.


 

CONNECT WITH CAREER DEVELOPMENT

Quick Chats (Virtual Drop-In)

If you have a question, no more waiting for an appointment, you can just drop in for a virtual quick chat! These opportunities are offered at various times throughout the week. Please register for a specific date to receive a confirmation email, link, and pass-code.

To register for this event:

  1. Visit the Career Development Events Calendar for the zoom link -OR-
  2. Login to Handshake , select the "Events" tab, select "All Filters", scroll to the "Labels" field, type in or select "Connect with Career Development", and select "Show Results." Here you can register for a specific date and advisor. It is preferred to register for quick chats when possible.

Small Group Discussions

These weekly discussions with your peers, led by a career advisor, include resume writing, internship registration, and how to maximize career development resources that you may not know about! The unique topic of discussion will be offered at various times.  Please register for a specific date to receive a confirmation email, link, and pass-code.

Career Management Leadership (CML) Certificate

The Career Management Leadership (CML) Certificate is being updated and we expect to relaunch a pilot program in the fall. For questions, please email: cannonm@geneseo.edu.
