Recognition of Our Most Generous Supporters
Geneseo's giving societies recognize and honor the College’s most generous supporters. We invite you to join the many alumni, faculty, staff and friends who are committed to the continued success of the College and the future generations in its care.
1871 Leadership Society
The 1871 Leadership Society is Geneseo’s annual leadership giving society, which recognizes supporters whose financial contributions demonstrate an exceptional level of commitment to Geneseo. Members of Geneseo’s 1871 Leadership Society set an example for all alumni, students, parents and friends. These benefactors earn a significant place in Geneseo’s history for their dedication and belief in our future - and play a critical role in ensuring the College will have a reliable, steady stream of income for years to come.
MacVittie Legacy Society
The MacVittie Legacy Society recognizes individuals who have the foresight and thoughtfulness to make bequests and other planned gifts to Geneseo. The MacVittie Legacy Society is named for Dr. Robert W. MacVittie, who served as Geneseo's president from 1963-1979. As he provided the College with a cornerstone of leadership and vision, the MacVittie Legacy Society provides a financial cornerstone that will enable future generations to enrich their lives through a Geneseo education.
Society of Emmeline Giving Society
The Society of Emmeline recognizes women who support SUNY Geneseo’s long-term success through a lifetime of giving that exceeds $50,000.
