Jacqueline McCausland

During her high school and college years, Adjunct Dance Lecturer Jacqueline studied many forms of dance with outstanding dance teachers and artists including Nona Schurman, Andre Eglevsky, Richard Jones, and Kazuko Hirobayashi. She graduated from Empire State College (BPS; Dance) after attending SUNY Purchase and SUNY Geneseo. In 1982 Jacqueline opened the Valley School of Dance in Geneseo where she continues to serve as the studio’s owner and director, along with co-owning and co-directing Shakti Yoga in Geneseo since 1989. She has bee a certified Anusara Yoga instructor since 2009; as well, she is also a registered certified yoga instructor through Yoga Alliance and Kula Evolution. Jacqueline also serves on the faculty of the Program in Dance and Movement at the University of Rochester, teaching dance and yoga courses since 2000.
