Dance Student Organizations
Gajjda Bhangra team’s purpose is to utilize Bhangra as a culture and a style of dance to promote and contribute to a diverse and multi-faceted community through on-campus workshops and performance, as well as represent Geneseo at regional Bhangra competitions and festivals. \n\nThis is in accordance with the college’s mission statement to promote diversity and community, as well as tradition, as the Bhangra team works to educate its members as to the history and culture of respect central to the style of dance and Punjabi culture. It provides an interactive learning experience. As one of the most diverse teams in the nation, it promotes Geneseo’s mission of Innovation, offering Geneseo students another facet to explore new perspectives and cultures and challenge themselves.

Along with performances, we perform at other organizations benefits and Relay for Life, host a Relay for Life benefit to help raise money for the American Cancer Society, and participate in/ host our own fundraisers. Routines are choreographed by team captains, and the team is advised by Jody Deloria, an adjunct professor in the dance department here at Geneseo. The OGX Dance Team’s purpose is to extend our love for dance to the Geneseo campus and community. Our intentions are to welcome students who don’t exactly fit in with modern and contemporary movements. We feel that the OGX Dance Team will offer another style of dance that will allow students not only from the urban areas of New York but including students of every culture to appreciate dance. The OGX Dance Team would like to perform at events hosted by Geneseo clubs such as talent shows, cultural dinners, Relay For Life, Geneseo Great Day. We host our own events and workshops throughout the school year. We partake in WOW and GLK programming. We also host a Spring Dance Showcase in which we portray our talents and host other Culture clubs or outside teams. We like to host activities in which we promote being active and traveling to nearby to spread our love for urban and cultural dancing.

Theatre Student Organizations
Currently Known As
Currently Known As: educates students in the art of improvisational theatre through guided practice, performance, and self‐evaluation so that the student may learn from their self and others. Currently Known As: believes that all students can learn to perform with the help of friends, dedication and perseverance. Thus, Currently Known As: will hold no auditions, or turn anyone away who desires to be a member of the troupe. To do this would be to deny the students an opportunity to learn, perform, make friends, and grow as a person.
The purpose of this organization shall be to develop knowledge of dramatic art, skill in production, and to aid in the general cultural development of the individual. Ghostlight Productions works to perpetuate the theatrical experience for the campus, the community, and the surrounding area.
