Who are the Healthguards?

The Geneseo Healthguards are a peer health education group, raising awareness about important college health issues like safer sex, responsible alcohol use, nutrition, stress management, healthy relationships, and sleep. Healthguards are trained in these areas by professional staff members at Health & Counseling. Healthguards are not experts, they are STUDENTS who care about Health & Wellness. What do Healthguards Do?

Healthguards present programs on campus such as Condom Bingo, Mocktail Mania, Sex Jeopardy, Your Life's A Mess Come DeStress!, Stress & Relaxation, Condom Casino, and the Fitness Challenge. Healthguards also do awareness campaigns such as Mental Health Awareness, Safe Spring Break, World Aids Day, National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week, National Nutrition Month, Sexual Responsibility Month, and more!
