Geneseo Insomnia Film Festival
Filming: Friday, April 2, 2027 at 5:00 PM to Saturday, April 3, 2027 at 5:00 PM in South Hall 345
Awards Ceremony: Wednesday, April 21, 2027 (GREAT Day) at 6:00 PM in Wadsworth Auditorium
In this unique and exciting event, you and a team of up to three other people have just 24 hours to write, film, and edit a 3-minute movie! Your team will compete for prizes against other SUNY Geneseo students by incorporating three elements (from a list provided by the GIFF staff) into the best video you can. Your video can be funny, thought-provoking, suspenseful, or anything else you want. No special skills or equipment required! Get ready to spend 24 straight hours filled with creativity, laughs, and (maybe) lots and lots of caffeine.

Judging
Video submissions will be judged by a panel of SUNY Geneseo faculty and staff members. Each judge will use a subjective zero to five scale in each of the following categories:
- Impact: Did the judges laugh? Did they cry? Did it make them think?
- Cinematography: Was the the video visually compelling?
- Story: How well written, thought-out, and portrayed is the story being told using the elements provided?
- Gestalt: How did the totality of the video strike the individual judge?
