  • The Yijing and Chinese Politics: Classical Commentary and Literati Activism in the Northern Song Period, 960-1127 (Albany: State University of New York Press, 2005) [Click here for a synopsis of the book]

  • Co-editor of Suppressed and Lost Visions of Lost Visions of Modern Humanity: Re-assessing the May Fourth Legacy (a collection of essays by twelve international scholars re-examining the historiography of May Fourth Culture Movement, 1916-1926, published by Lexington Press).

  • Co-editor of The Politics of Historical Production in Late Qing and Republican China (a collection of essays by ten international scholars on history textbooks in late Qing and Republican China, published by B. J. Brill).

  • Completing a book manuscript, “Revolution by Recovering the Past: The Guocui Group in Early Twentieth-Century China,” in which I compare late Qing historians' visions of China in their historical narratives.

  • Preparing a book manuscript, tentatively titled The Yijing and Social Identity: The Song Learning in Qing China, in which I examine the Yijing commentaries of Ming and Qing period.
