Olympia Nicodemi

Olympia Nicodemi, distinguished teaching professor of mathematics, was awarded the Charles Dunn Award for Faculty by the Council of Public Liberal Arts Colleges (COPLAC) board of directors. The annual award honors faculty whose commitment to student success goes "above and beyond."

Nicodemi has served as the Director of the Edgar Fellows Program, Geneseo’s Honors Program, and has also coordinated the Goldwater Scholarships for thirty years. She currently co-teaches an interdisciplinary course for the only undergraduate chapter of Project Neuwrite, a program that brings together STEM students involved in research with creative writing students in which the participants craft engaging essays explaining scientific research to a wider audience.
