GENESEO, N.Y. –– SUNY Geneseo’s Graduate Admissions Office is hosting a Graduate Information Session Feb. 16 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in Doty Hall’s Tower Room (3rd floor – Room 300). The free event will focus on Geneseo’s graduate programs in both business and education.
“Geneseo’s reputation is very strong with affordable tuition that can’t be beat,” said Graduate Enrollment Coordinator Michael George. “We will walk our guests through the programs, provide an overview of the application process and discuss our academic scholarships and assistantships. We’ll even waive the application fee.”
Geneseo has four graduate programs -- accounting, reading and literacy B-12, childhood multicultural education (Grades 1-6) and adolescence education (Grades 7-12).
“Our programs are first-rate,” said George. “All of the same qualities that a student has come to know at Geneseo in undergraduate education can be expected at the master’s level.”
While George will be speaking at the information session about the application process for Geneseo’s graduate programs, Harry Howe, professor of accounting in the School of Business, and Susan Salmon, assistant professor in the Ella Cline Shear School of Education, will talk to groups of prospective students about the business and education programs, respectively.
George noted that there will also be campus tours highlighting areas such as South Hall, which houses both schools and others areas of campus of interest to students who did not study at Geneseo. Light refreshments and hors d’oeuvres also will be served at the session.
Event registration is available online or by calling 585-245-5040. For any questions, contact GradAdmissions@geneseo.edu.
