It’s a banner year for the Geneseo men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams. Both teams recently won the State University of New York Athletic Conference Championship — and coaches Paul Dotterweich and Shawn Austin also took home top honors.
- Head Coach Dotterweich was named the SUNYAC Women’s and Men’s Coach of the Year, an honor he has earned 16 times in the 17 years he has led the teams.
- Assistant Coach Austin was named SUNYAC Women’s Diving Coach of the Year.
- The women’s crown marks Geneseo's 25th SUNYAC Championship in program history, including 10 in a row and 14 under Dotterweich’s leadership.
- The men’s title is the Knights' 24th SUNYAC title in program history. It is their fourth in a row and 16th in 17 years with Dotterweich as coach.
Overall, it has been a good year for Geneseo athletics. This is the college's fifth and sixth SUNYAC championship teams for 2016-2017.
