Wind Ensemble, Clarinet Choir, Sax Quarter to Perform Oct. 30

Suny Geneseo Campus

GENESEO, N.Y. – The Geneseo Wind Ensemble, Clarinet Choir and Saxophone Quartet will perform in Wadsworth Auditorium on Oct. 30 at 8:00 p.m.

Music Department faculty member Ernest Lascell directs the groups. The Wind Ensemble consists of approximately 50 students, the Clarinet Choir has 15 members, and they are joined by the quartet. “The two small ensembles provide a nice contrast to the Wind Ensemble,” said Lascell.

The students will be performing baroque, classical, contemporary music and jazz pieces throughout the evening. According to Lascall, the myriad of performance styles will allow the audience to find at least one piece that they particularly like. “The literature and variety of the groups performing will be very enjoyable experience for the audience,” he said.

The concert is free and open to the public.
