Accounting Major

Why study accounting at Geneseo?

Geneseo’s accounting major provides outstanding preparation for careers in professional and corporate accounting as well as many other areas in business and finance. It offers a deep foundation in financial, managerial, and taxation accounting in addition to electives in governmental NFP accounting and other cognate disciplines.

Accounting is the comprehensive business discipline, exposing students to issues and practices in everything from operations, marketing, and HR to financing and capital budgeting.
